Club History

Our club is a Virginia flyball, and a United Kennel Club (UKC) licensed agility, obedience, weight pull, and multi-breed conformation club. The club formed in the summer of 1995 as only an agility club with a provisional obedience license. We became a licensed UKC agility and obedience club by September 1996.
The first Virginia Flyball team called the Hairier Jump Jets joined our club in October 1996 and now we have a new activity to do with our dogs. We want to promote EVERY DOG to participate in performance events. You don't need a pure bred dog to enjoy the fun. Just register your dog with UKC if you are interested in doing agility, obedience, weight pulling competitively.

For Flyball, you would need any type of ball crazy dog to register with NAFA (North American Flyball Association) in order to compete in flyball tournaments. In 2006, we had 4 UKC agility trials, 4 UKC conformation shows, 2 UKC obedience trials, and 2 NAFA flyball tournaments weekends. Photo to left is Cosmo the lab passing Ryan the golden retriever

On March 14, 2002 the club has become a fully licensed UKC weight pull club and provisional conformation club. We host 2 weight pulls yearly and you will need to check "our club events" to see when the next one is appearing. In June of 2003 the club has become a fully licensed UKC Multi-breed Conformation club. You will need a pure breed intact dog that is registered with UKC in order to compete in this type of event. Each year we have new club members joining to play with their dogs.
